CA Oil & Gas are currently seeking a BD1 LEAD PRODUCTION OPERATOR for one our clients’ FPSOs, 3 miles off the coast of Tunisia. The project will start in May 2011.
Position description: Responsible for BD1 operations.
Hierarchy: Reports to DCS Shift supervisor.
Main Functions: Under DCS shift supervisor authority, the BD1 Production Lead Operator is responsible for the routine operations of the Technical Room and Process Plant and Utilities onboard the BD1 platform during SIMOPS phase.

Following production procedures, he shall:
- Ensures that the plant is operating in a safe condition and reports all anomalies
- To execute the tasks as instructed by the shift supervisor.
- To issue daily reports as required
- To provide guidance and training as necessary to Production Operators on BD1
- To accurately control, monitor and report the volumes of oil and gas produced through the surface facilities
- To collect sampling of well fluids
- To assist commissioning during start up / shut down of process modules and when bringing new wells on stream
- Is responsible to attend the BD1 Daily Morning Meetings. He should report back to the Production Supervisor any planned SIMOPS related work that might take place in his area of responsibility.
- To liaise with the Drilling Crew during SIMOPS for items such as planned shutdowns, testing of Firewater Pumps, etc
- To attend to Monthly BD1 Safety Meetings & highlight to the Production Supervisor any concerns or anomalies
- To ensure that Works Requests are submitted for all equipment that might require intervention
· 2 Years as Senior Operator.
· Five year experience in production operations.
· Fluent in English.
· Computer Literate.
