DCS OPERATOR - Production - Oil & Gas - FPSO Offshore Tunisia

CA Oil & Gas are currently seeking a DCS OPERATOR for one our clients’ FPSOs, 3 miles off the coast of Tunisia. The project will start in May 2011.

Position description: Operate DCS panel.

Hierarchy: Reports to DCS Shift supervisor.

Main Functions: Under DCS shift supervisor authority, the DCS operator is in charge to operate the DCS panel. Following production procedures, he shall:

• Using a Yokogawa DCS, continuously monitors all process, marine & utilities for any anomalies or deviation from normal operating parameters.
• Reports without delay, to the DCS Shift Supervisor all anomalies observed.
• Stops and starts the control system according to procedures
• Accurately records produced volumes of Oil, Gas and water through the surface installation
• Assists in the preparation of the daily report.
• Operate Radio and intercom for public address.
• Reports all anomalies & defects related to the DCS, PLC & Fire & Gas to the DCS Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications:

·         2 Years as Control Room Operator or Lead Production Operator.

·         Five year experience in production operations.

·         Fluency in English.

·         Computer Literate.
