CA Oil & Gas are currently seeking an ELECTRO-AUTO TECHNICIAN for one our clients’ FPSOs, 3 miles off the coast of Tunisia. The project will start in May 2011.
Position description: Responsible for executing maintenance on electrical and DCS equipments.
Hierarchy: Reports to Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.
Main Functions:
The Electro-AUTO Technician executes and is responsible for all Electrical and DCS interventions.
Following maintenance manuals and procedures in place, he shall:
· Prepare detailed operations to be realised on electrical and DCS installation according to the maintenance planning;
· Execute preventive and corrective maintenance operations on electrical and DCS installations according to the intervention planning;
· Assist the Production and Maintenance Team in starting/stopping rotating equipment;
· Intervene rapidly on electrical and DCS defects in order to avoid production shutdown;
· Prepare electrical and DCS installations for maintenance works;
· Ensure proper follow-up of electrical and DCS equipment by regular visit and readings interpretation;
· Interpret data readings and report immediately any alteration in electrical or DCS status;
· Issue intervention reports;
· Transmit requests for ordering electrical and DCS consumables and spare parts to the Maintenance Supervisor;
· Is in charge of monitoring low and high voltage distribution;
· Is in charge of maintaining: LV/HV electrical control panels, HVAC, all electrical motors and apparatuses, electrical network, alarms and detection installations, cabling and lighting.
· Electrical and/or Automation qualification.
· Five year experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of a production plant and/or a refinery plant.
· HV and LV certification.
· Fluent in English
