INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN - Maintenance (FPSO and BD1) - Oil & Gas - FPSO Offshore Tunisia


CA Oil & Gas are currently seeking an INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN for one our clients’ FPSOs, 3 miles off the coast of Tunisia. The project will start in May 2011.

Position description: Responsible for monitoring and maintaining instrument/electronic equipment.

Hierarchy: Reports to Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor
Main Functions:

·         Prepare detailed operations to be realised on instrument installations, according to the intervention planning;
·         Execute interventions on instrument installations;
·         Execute preventive and corrective maintenance operations on instrument installations according to the intervention planning;
·         Intervenes without delay to repair defects on instruments in order to avoid production losses and equipment downtime.
·         Ensure proper follow up of instrument equipment by routine checks and readings.
·         Issue intervention reports;
·         Is in charge of maintaining: instruments and cargo electronic systems, telecommunication equipment, metering unit and fire detection system.

Qualifications:
·         Valid Instrumentation qualification.
·         5 year experience as an Instrument Technician, with 2 years in the oil industry.
·         Computer literate.
·         Fluent in English.
