Global Supply Chain Director - Lubricants - Dubai

CA Oil & Gas are currently seeking a Global Supply Chain Director for our clients operations globally. 

Job Purpose:
The position of Global Supply Chain Director will manage the Global Supply Chain Planning Process, including management of all departments involved in forecasting, materials planning and procurement of inventory to maintain budgeted inventory turns and fill rates for all global markets in a dynamic marketing environment which also includes own and third party manufacturing and fulfilment. The position will be responsible for the developing, documenting and executing of a global comprehensive manufacturing, logistics and distribution strategy that will drive optimal customer service and profitability.   

Reporting Relationships:
This role will report to the Managing Director and will work closely internally with the Global Sales & Marketing, Product Development, Technical, Strategic Planning, Finance and Administration Support Functions.

Accountabilities:

Forecasting:
- Review and enhance forecasting processes and tools
- Integrate monthly brand level marketing forecasts for local and international markets
- Oversee management of parameters and settings to optimise safety stock and lead time values for all domestic and international markets
- Track forecast accuracy and consumption versus forecast for all markets
Procurement:
- Oversee the purchasing for product required based on planned demand from Supply Chain Planning Module and inputs from marketing for new product launches or product trials
- Manage the various vendor relationships to produce the service level required to support supply chain requirements
- Monitor the on-time and complete performance of suppliers and toll blenders
- Work with marketing, product development and procurement to integrate new supplier or brand launches as well as regulatory upgrades to existing packaging or formulations
Fulfillment:
- Monitor the KPI’s and metrics associated with final shipments to customers to prevent/reduce out of stock situations, watch for trends impacting forecasting needs or marketing changes impacting forecasting requirements
- Monitor reporting feeds in Management Information System for optimization of data used in various analysis functions

Organizational:
Deliver and maintain KPI’s for the Plant and Toll Blender Network driving efficiency savings
- Provide manufacturing and supply chain expertise in support of the business requirements
- Manage external quality certification organizations as relevant
- Coordinate external benchmarking exercises and use the results to set priorities in Manufacturing Improvement Programs
- Develop and steward manufacturing and supply chain talent in the business
- Work closely with all relevant departments to optimise inventory planning and purchasing
- Develop planning input for Sales, Marketing and Operations planning meetings
- Work closely with marketing, brand management and international sales & marketing operations 
- Drive operational excellence and sharing of best practices across the business in order to reduce cost to serve on an ongoing basis

Essential Experience:
-  Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting and
   distribution execution from multiple sources
-  Clear understanding of the fundamental principles of the working of a plant and how
   materials, manufacturing process, people and assets interact to support the conversion of
   quality products in the most optimised manner
-  Possess strong leadership skills and able to use impact and influence extensively and
   effectively to create alignment around the vision, the methods and the steps required to
   enable change
-  Ability to transform the current business model to a supply chain machine – demonstrated
   ability in upgrading the supply chain function in an organization of similar size and scope
-  In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices
-  Solid judgement to know what is appropriate for the company size/scope
-  Ability to quickly establish credibility across the organization/engage others to ensure the
   most effective and efficient logistics solutions for the business globally
-  Flexibility to seek and incorporate input from others into the plan/solid track record for
   effectively managing/developing a team
